Awe & Wonder creates adapted discipleship resources to help parents and ministry leaders communicate big truths about God and what it looks like to live the Christian life to individuals with special needs. Their heart is to provide resources that help people understand who God is, and how to have a relationship with Him in an approachable and understandable way.
We’re excited to share that Awe & Wonder has created a Choice Board specifically for Night to Shine. This resource will allow Honored Guests to have more control over their desired activities for the evening.
A choice board is a visual tool that uses pictures, symbols, or words to present options for activities or tasks. It allows individuals to make choices by pointing to their preferences. Choice boards can be especially helpful for individuals who are non-speaking, minimally verbal, or who benefit from visual supports. The Night to Shine choice board can be used by Honored Guests to communicate with their Buddy, or other volunteers, exactly how they would like to enjoy their night!
